In my experience as a clinician, I've learned that academic knowledge alone doesn't change lives — connecting soul to soul is the most important part of the therapeutic process. I am the therapist I am today because I've lived my own healing journey. My continued recovery from childhood trauma allows me to show up for clients in a way I wouldn't be able to otherwise.

I've been in the helping profession for over 25 years, and I believe that most — if not all — of what we struggle with today is rooted in childhood trauma and family-of-origin experiences. When trauma isn't dealt with, we develop an unconscious process that drives our current thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Time alone can't heal this kind of pain. Fully processing the trauma — connecting with the felt experience physically, emotionally, and mentally — is how it moves through us and allows for healing.

My hope is to provide the support and resources needed for those seeking true healing, and for clinicians who want to help their clients take the next step in recovery. Lasting healing and change are possible. I know. I've experienced it.

I offer individual trauma intensives and other forms of focused trauma treatment for those who have done significant childhood trauma healing work but have areas of their story that still need to be addressed.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary. Pia Mellody's Post Induction Therapy model is the foundation of my work with developmental trauma. I'm also trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR and am an Eagala-Certified Mental Health Professional, offering equine-assisted therapy as part of my practice.

Outside of work, I spend time with my rescue pup, Maisie. Being in the woods is one of my places of sanity — and so is being with horses, whether that's hanging out, riding, or scooping poop. And maybe most important of all, I'm a huge South Carolina Gamecocks Women's Basketball fan!
