I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in Virginia and Colorado, specializing in treating developmental, relational, and attachment trauma. My professional credentials include Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level II (CCTP-II), Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS), and Certified Complex Developmental Trauma Specialist.
My private practice is dedicated exclusively to working with women through individual and group psychotherapy. I specialize in helping women heal from childhood and family-of-origin trauma, attachment wounds, betrayal trauma, codependency, and unhealthy relational patterns. I also support women navigating grief and loss, as well as those seeking to deepen their emotional and relational healing as part of their ongoing recovery from substance use disorders.
My clinical career began at the Hazelden Foundation in 2001, followed by nearly a decade at The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona, beginning in 2004. During my tenure at The Meadows, I had the privilege of training and working alongside internationally recognized clinicians, including Pia Mellody, John Bradshaw, and Claudia Black. These formative experiences helped shape the foundation of my clinical approach, particularly my work with Pia Mellody's Post-Induction Therapy (PIT) model.
My therapeutic approach integrates Healing Our Core Issues (HOCII), attachment-based psychotherapy, experiential therapy, and contemporary trauma treatment approaches informed by advanced training with Janina Fisher and other leading trauma specialists. I believe meaningful and lasting healing involves understanding how early relational experiences shape our beliefs, emotional responses, and relationships, while cultivating greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and the capacity for authentic connection.
