Counseling Group specializes in treating individuals who struggle with compulsive sexual behaviors, sexual addiction, PTSD, betrayal trauma, attachment issues, and childhood developmental trauma. Using the Healing Our Core Issues Model (HOCI) in treatment of these individual and relational challenges, we believe that childhood trauma (defined as anything less than nurturing) is the origin of developmental immaturity. Recovery from childhood developmental trauma involves both energetically releasing the toxic emotions left over from these painful childhood experiences and learning to re-parent the Self by intervening with these historical adaptive states which are defined as adult symptoms of childhood trauma.
