My Website
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in Jacksonville, Florida. My passion is helping individuals, couples, and families to develop authenticity, emotion regulation, and healthy connection. My approach is experiential and deeply relational. It includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am trained in Healing Our Core Issues (HOCI), and use interventions based on mindfulness, somatic therapy, and Polyvagal theory. I incorporate Christian principles, prayer, and scripture when they are welcome.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate, supportive, trauma-informed counseling for betrayed partners. I am a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist-Candidate (CCPS-C) through APSATS, and an Associate Sexual Addiction Therapist-Candidate (ASAT-C) through IITAP. I use tenets from attachment science, neuroscience, and trauma-informed care to help individuals understand and heal the root causes of betrayal trauma and compulsive behavior. I specialize in moving individuals from intimacy challenges, including infidelity, compulsive sexual behavior, unwanted use of pornography, sexual anorexia, and codependence to securely attached relationships with healthy intimacy.

I am honored to guide betrayed partners, betraying partners, and couples through all phases of the healing process, from safety and stabilization; the disclosure process; trauma, grief, and family-of-origin work, towards post-traumatic growth. I am presently receiving training and consultation from The Raabsmith Team, as I work towards completing their Certified Couples Specialist (CPS) Training.

I am committed to helping individuals, who received less-than-nurturing parenting, to reparent themselves, reclaim their core identity, develop healthy relationships, and create lives they are passionate about living. I am knowledgeable about parental enmeshment, and listed as a preferred provider on Dr. Kenneth M. Adam’s Overcoming Enmeshment website. I am passionate about healing generational trauma.

Through my previous career, I have over 18 years of experience supporting individuals and families affected by autism, ADHD, and ODD. I’ve worked as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, autism center director, university instructor (Introduction to Psychology; Behavior Modification; Drug Use and Abuse), and published researcher.
