Ms. Profota has 29 years' experience in the area of addictions/chemical dependence, sex and love addiction, dual diagnosis, codependence, and trauma resolution.
In 2010 she founded Inner Loop Recovery Center, an outpatient treatment center for sex and love addiction, codependence, partner betrayal trauma and attachment disorder in Houston, TX. She worked 6 yrs in residential treatment for SUD and managed several clinical areas.
Ms. Profota was also Field Instructor of MSW students for University of Houston, Our Lady of the Lake & Sofia University teaching the advanced skills of addiction treatment. Ava has been sober in her own recovery from sex and love addiction for 27 years. She was awarded the prestigious Counselor of the Year of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, Houston Chapter in 2014.
