As a Trauma Therapist (EMDR) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), I focus on repairing broken relationships related to the impact of addiction and trauma. I have worked extensively with Pia Mellody for several years honing the skills necessary to work on trauma, codependency, love addiction and developmental immaturity. This groundbreaking work assists people who are either in recovery or who just want to enhance the quality of their lives.
Currently I am studying with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction (IITAP) focusing on the treatment sex addicts and their partners. Since 1999, I have frequently spoken publicly on trauma, codependence and love addiction for the Meadows Institute, as well as conducting trauma workshops, empowerment groups, love addiction recovery groups and relationship workshops.
I also trained extensively with Terry Real beginning in 2001, and use his invaluable model in my work with couples. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and weaves together trauma, attachment, psycho-dynamic, cognitive, and family systems models.
