My Website
Early in my journey, I realized that I had a deep passion for helping others navigate the difficult process of healing and change that I was going through. So, I went back to school and obtained a Masters degree in Counseling. Since graduating, I have been fortunate to be associated with several exceptional organizations and treatment centers in South Texas and Mississippi, including Family Service Association, The Center for Health Care Services, Seasons of Life Counseling Center, and Pine Grove Behavioral Health. I have also had the great honor of studying and training with some extraordinarily talented and skilled clinicians, many of whom have been mentors.

My work includes individual, couples, family, and group therapy with a diverse clientele, ranging across socio-economic, ethnic, and gender lines.

Therapeutic issues have been varied and challenging and have included addictions (drugs and alcohol, sex and love, eating, spending, work), cognitive disorders, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders (depression, dysthymia, bipolar, mania), anxiety disorders (anxiety, panic attack, social phobia), schizophrenia, personality disorders (narcissistic, histrionic, avoidant, dependent, obsessive-compulsive, anti-social, borderline), ADHD, OCD, grief and loss issues, and life transitions. While at Pine Grove, I facilitated five-day intensive workshops for men struggling with compulsive sexual behavior. In conjunction with Pine Grove's Family Program, I presented lectures on sex addiction and addiction interaction to patients and family members participating in family week and co-facilitated family process groups.

Today, I am in private practice in San Antonio, Texas. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I have trained with Dr. Patrick Carnes, the recognized leading expert in the field of sexual addiction, to become a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). I am also working toward certification as an EMDR clinician with Carol York, LCSW, the first Executive Director of the EMDR International Association, and a certified EMDR clinician and trainer.
