I have been an Arizona licensed counselor working with individuals, couples, and families, since 2006. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Phoenix. Prior to my counseling practice, I served for over 20 years, as an administrator for a nonprofit agency. My combined experiences have helped me develop a deep insight to the complexities of relationships with ourselves and that which we share with others.
I use Pia Mellody’s work as the therapeutic foundation in my practice. I had the privilege of studying under Pia and was certified through the Meadows in PIT, Inner Child, Feeling Reduction and Couples Boundary. In addition, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) and Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT).
Although, the majority of sessions are conducted in person and in my Central Phoenix office, I do offer video conference sessions for clients that are working, studying or traveling outside of Arizona. I am certified through Ready Minds and recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a Distance Credentialed Counselor. I maintain a HIPAA compliant, video conference, web-based site.
