Meredith Bryden is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical with a private practice in Annapolis, Maryland. She specializes in the treatment of childhood trauma and childhood relational trauma (defined as anything less than nurturing) and how these experiences impact one's ability to establish and/or maintain healthy, safe, satisfying relational patterns in adulthood.
Trained by Pia Mellody, Meredith uses the Developmental Immaturity Model and Post Induction Therapy (PIT) model as a framework in her practice. Additionally, Meredith is a Polyvagal Informed Therapist and participating in ongoing training with Deb Dana LCSW, founder of the Rhythm of Regulation, Polyvagal Theory in Therapy. Meredith is also a certified EMDR clinician.
Meredith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Meredith has 20+ years of experience working with children, adults, couples, families, and Veterans. She is skilled in addressing parenting issues, working with blended families, and managing appropriate relationships with aging parents if desired. Meredith is also experienced in teaching and providing consultation to mental health professionals. Meredith is aware of the value of animal assisted therapy and is hopeful to include this into her practice in the future.
